Service Description

We provide a Carotid IMT service that we have found to be a cutting edge tool for Heart Disease and Stroke Prevention programs. We have found that even in patients with normal Lab values or a ZERO on a calcium score we are seeing increased risk and vascular age when we do a CIMT scan. The CIMT exam shows the inflammatory response to the vessel wall as well as disease progression with what types of plaque, where and how much patients have.
